The seasons of Pai are relatively unchanging and mild which make it the ideal destination throughout the year.

Green Season

From May through the end of October, this time is also known as the monsoon season. There is frequent rain which is complemented by ample sunshine in between showers.

Average Temperature: 24º C – 32º C

High Season

From November to February is the winter season. Mists bring an ethereal beauty to the early mornings as they and the evenings are cooler. The days are warm with plenty of sunshine and rarely ever any rain. The cooler weather allows the forest to rest and the surrounding mountains transform into rolling hills of inviting yellows, reds and browns.

At PaiNa PaiTa, we have a communal fire pit, which we light in the mornings and evenings; a pot of Mountain Tea is always brewing. In the evenings we enjoy sitting around the fire talking, eating and having drinks.

Average Temperature: 12º C – 28º C

Low Season

March and April are hot and dry. In the 2nd week of April, there is a festival to celebrate the arrival of rain called Songkran. As a result of the rain, the colors of Pai really show this time of year, flowers bloom all over town.

Guests often just laze in a hammock in our cool bamboo rest areas and gaze at the scenery with a long cool drink.

Average Temperature: 24º C – 35º C
